Caribbean
Cruise
The Florida
Savages went on a western Caribbean Cruise on Royal
Caribbean's Enchantment of the Sea.
The following
are a few pictures.

Here are a few pictures on the ship.
One of the first things we did was get the
boys airbrushed tattoos on their forearms. You
will see them from time to time. Wyatt has a
skull. Ryan has a pirate.
Here are the boys on the pool deck making
wooden cruise ships with hammers and nails. We got
to keep the aprons and goggles along with the
boat. It was a great activity while we were at sea
for a day.

Here are the boys playing in the
pool. We were sailing in 10 plus ft seas that
day. It is hard to tell in this picture but the
waves in the pools were intense. In this picture
you can see a wave under the hot tub behind Jeff's
shoulder. Standing in the corner of the pool where
they are felt like standing in tide pools. The
water would drain about 2 feet slide to the aft end of
the pool then slosh back to the front bringing good size
swells. The pool in the back of the ship under the
glass solarium overflowed and got the stair well
soaked. They had dryer fans going for 2 days.
We hung out by the pool when we are not at
port. We kept taking over this little corner of
the pool. We had lunch and snacks right on the
wood you see in front of the boys. There was a 10
year old girl who loved the boys. Every time we
went swimming she was there with her parents. She
would always come and say, "Hi" and ask if she
could play with them. The 3 of them had a great
time together.

What is a cruise without
shuffleboard? We had this area to ourselves due to
the wind. Jeff and the boys had their own version
of shuffleboard. More like hockey, but we had a
blast.

Here are Wyatt and Ryan eating their
pillow mints before bed. Tomorrow we will be in
the Bahamas.

Wake up to coffee and pastries on our
balcony in Nassau. The weather was too bad at Coco
Cay to tender in so the Capitan opted to dock in Nassau
for the day. Better than another day at sea.

Here is our balcony on our sea day.

Since we missed Coco Cay, which was the
main reason we booked this cruise was out. We
decided to check out the Pirates of Nassau museum.

Even though we were on
"vacation" we were still strict with our
punishment enforcement.

After the beatings we checked out the
cannons!

After our pirate experience we went to
Royal Bahamian resort and played in their pool and beach
for the rest of the afternoon. Here are Wyatt and
Ryan floating on the swim mat.

Jeff and Wyatt also went kayaking.
That is our cruise ship in the center of the
picture. (3rd from right)

We also went to Cozumel. We took a
taxi to Chan Kanaab National Park. We spent most
of the day there snorkeling.

There is a large coral formation about 30
yards out and 10 to 25 feet deep. Ryan was in a
boat with a rope that Jeff held onto. Wyatt swam
with mask and fins like a pro. There was a
platform about 100 yards offshore that the boys loved to
jump off of. We did not tell them that the water
was 25 feet deep.

Below are our underwater
pictures.

This area of Cozumel is called an iron
shore. There is only manmade beaches in this
area. But that means the coral reefs come right to
the shoreline. This means tons of fish. As
you can see its true.

A couple sunken cannons.

Here is Jeff at the bottom of the reef.

Jeff is grabbing a statue that is sunk on
the bottom of the ocean. You can see the rope he
used to tow Ryan in his boat. Also Wyatt's fin
shows up in the top left corner of the picture.

Wyatt swam like a fish. Even in the
afternoon when the swell/current was stronger he kept up
with Jeff like a pro.

By the afternoon Wyatt was diving about 8
to 10 feet deep.

One of the things the boys loved the most
about the cruise was the Adventurers Club. After
dinner we would take them to the kids club for 2 hours
while we relaxed. They had Star Wars Jedi academy
for Wyatt's group. He is now a Jedi Knight.
Ryan did lots of crafts. The last night of the
cruise the club takes over the ship. They put on
pirate costumes and storm the whole ship. They get
on the glass elevators in the Centrum and ride them to
the top. Then they hit every button.
Stopping on every floor they yelled AARRRGG! They
had a blast. So did mom and dad.

It was a great cruise. How can they
not be. The boys are already asking when we are
doing another one. Who knows. We will cruise
again. We really enjoy the experience.
