Jeff and Emily's Bahamas Cruise 2006 pt II

COCO CAY

We woke up had breakfast and tendered to the island about 10am.

Jeff got a braid in his hair near the straw market before we started snorkeling.

Our ship from the island.

A tender boat heads back to the ship.

The "designated" snorkel area is rather large.  The reef was actually used in a James Bond movie.  There is a plane under about 10 feet of water.  There is a row of cannons like from a pirate ship.  And they are also making an artificial reef with cement wiffle balls.

The color of the coral growing on the cannon walls and cannons themselves was so beautiful.

Emily saw this big fish under the and of this barrel.  This is about 8-10 feet deep.

A picture of Emily from below.

The plane the plane!!!

The cockpit.  a.k.a. fish house

Below to the upper left you can see one of the cement balls they are making for reef/fish propigation.

The fish in the next two pictures just hung around us for a while like he wanted his picture taken.

After some snorkeling we had lunch and watched a volleyball game.  Emily had a blast with her boy in the blue Speedo.

We walked around to a quieter side of the island to enjoy some paradise.  We set some chairs right on the water and relaxed for the rest of the day there.

Jeff did some "undesignated" snorkeling.  The water did not get remotely deep for hundreds of yards so he found a few channels that he could swim in.  He found lots of Conch, Fish, and Sea Slugs.

We walked the beach and found lots of fish, crabs, a few shells and serenity.

Sea Snail

We even saw a sucker fish.

We ended the day with a hang in the hammock and a stroll back to the boat.

As we walked back we ran into some local chickens.

Waiting on the boat back to the ship we watched this fish jump out of the water and over a banana peel.

After a great day on Coco Cay we had a wonderful dinner and walked around the ship a bit.  We saw the dueling pianos show in Bolero's Lounge.  What a great act.

We went to bed and woke up in Canaveral.  Were off the ship by 8am and back home by 11am.

It was a wonderful cruise.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  We cannot wait to go again.  Disney Cruise Line hear we come.

We hope you enjoyed our cruise pages as much as we did our cruise.

Bon voyage!
